Chhattisgarh Pre Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Test (Chhattisgarh PRE MCA or CGPRE MCA 2017) is a state level entrance test of Chhattisgarh state. It is organized by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB). The CPEB is broadly known as Chhattisgarh (CG) Vyapam. It is conducted to screen the candidates for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses offered by various government and private colleges of Chhattisgarh state. Admission will be completely based on merit of candidates in CG PRE MCA test. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online from 5th April 2017.Through this article; candidates can get information about CG PRE MCA 2017 including application form, exam dates, eligibility, exam pattern, syllabus, etc.

CG Pre MCA Online Application Form fee:-

  • For Gen Category: Rs. 350/- Only
  • For OBC Category: Rs. 250/- Only

• For SC/ ST reserved Category: Rs. 200/- Only

Qualification for CG PRE MCA Exam:

Candidates should have obtained three years duration Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks (45% for OBC/SC/ST PwD) from a recognized university.

Graduation & Candidates should have taken and cleared Mathematics as one of the subjects at class 12th or Graduation level.

Age limit for CG PRE MCA Exam 2017

The upper age limit of candidates as on 1st July, 2017 should be 32 years. Three years of relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women category candidates of Chhattisgarh state.

CG PRE MCA Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Mathematics

  • Algebra – Fundamental operations in Algebra Expansion, factorization, simultaneous linear quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, binomial theorem, permutations and combinations, surds, determinants, matrices and application to solution of simultaneous linear equations.
  • Co-ordinate Geometry – Rectangular Cartesian co-ordinates equations of a line, midpoint, intersection etc. equations of a circle, distance formula, pair of straight lines, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola, simple geometric transformations such as translation, rotation, scaling.
  • Calculus – Limit of functions, continuous functions, differentiation of functions (s),Tangents and Normal, simple example of maxima and minima, integration of function by parts by substitution and by partial fraction, definite integral application to volumes and surfaces of frustums of sphere, cone cylinder, Taylor Series.
  • Differential Equations – Differential equations of first order and their solutions, linear differential equations with constant coefficients, homogenous linear differential equations.
  • Vector – Position vector and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.
  • Trigonometry – Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, solution of triangles, height and distance, inverse fuctions.
  • Probability and Statistics – Basic concepts of probability theory. Averages Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions and measures of dispersions, Binomial Poisson, normal distributions, curve fitting, and principle of least squares, correlation and regressions.
  • Linear programming – Formulations of simple linear programming problems, basic concepts of graphical and simplex methods.

Computer Awareness

  • Computer Basics – Organization of computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input output devices computer memory, memory organization, back-up devices.
  • Data Representation – Representation of characters, integers, and fraction. Binary and hexadecimal representations, Binary Airthmetic: floating point representation of numbers, normalized floating point representation, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.
  • Computer Architecture – Block structure of computers, communication between processor and Input/Output devices interrupts.
  • Computer Language – Assembly language and high level language, Multiprogramming and time sharing operating systems. Computer Programming in C.
  • Flow chart and Algorithms.

Analytical and Logical Reasoning

The questions in this section will cover reasoning visual spatial reasoning

General Awareness

This section will over questions to test the general awareness about business. Finance, industry, transportation, scientific inventions, Governance, healthcare and cultural dimensions etc.

Steps for Registration for CG Pre MCA 2017 Counseling

Candidates have to follow these steps to register themselves for counseling-

  • Visit the official website of CG Pre MCA 2017 counseling
  • Click on New Registration on left side of page
  • Fill Roll Number and date of Birth
  • Create a Password and click on Save and proceed to fill application form
  • Now login with login Id and password
  • Fill the form that appears afterwards and click Save and Proceed
  • Fill out other details that are asked like educational details, rank etc.
  • Fill out your preferences
  • Make payment or fill payment details.

The information about applying for online counseling will be made available on the official website of DTE Raipur. After those dates for online counseling will be announced on official website and in newspapers, the first step is to get ready your documents for the documents verification. Following are the documents required in the counseling:

  • Photocopy of CG Pre MCA 2017Application Form
  • Mark sheet of Class 10th
  • Mark sheet of Class 12th
  • Graduation Mark sheet
  • CG Pre MCA 2017 or NIMCET 2016 result copy
  • Domicile Certificate of Chhattisgarh
  • Caste certificates of respective categories
  • PWD certificate if applicable

Note:

  • Once a candidate is allotted a seat in first or second round of counseling, he/she can also attend the next rounds of counseling. However the seat which was allotted earlier will be cancelled and allotted to another candidate.
  • Note that both CG Pre MCA 2017 and NIMCET 2017 will be given equal weightage during counseling. Candidates have to fill CG Pre MCA counseling registration form for appearing in counseling.
